The idea of pitting each of Raw and SmackDown's major champions against their opposite numbers isn't an inherently bad one, but the current circumstances are far from ideal. As things currently stand, each of the singles bouts will see one heel face off against another, destroying the basic dichotomy of what wrestling is supposed to be about - good vs. evil.

Heel vs. heel matches are tricky. The crowd will inevitably pick a side, but who are they supposed to root for when two vile characters in The Miz and Baron Corbin meet? The same goes for Alexa Bliss vs. Natalya, as well as Brock Lesnar vs. Jinder Mahal, though 'The Beast' will surely lean babyface on 19 November.

One such bout would be fine, but three is too much. Thus, WWE should consider switching at least one singles title ahead of the event to ensure they aren't cramming the show with unrepentant villainy. Corbin or Natalya losing their strap to a more likeable wrestler on weekly television would do this imbalanced card the world of good, as well as freshening up their respective divisions beyond the show.
