Seth Rollins is an incredibly gifted performer. He was doing really well as a chickens*** heel for a while after WrestleMania, but his act has rapidly become stale as you can predict the Authority interference to help him win, even on Raw against a mid-level opponent. With Rollins squaring off against Brock Lesnar at Battleground, he has to start showing that confidence he bragged about after Money in the Bank. Yes, Rollins gimmick is that hes a cowardly champ who uses his charges to secure victory, but given who his opponent is, its OK for Rollins to show some strength and win on his own (maybe with his feet on the ropes though) a few times. Rollins has a challenge in front of him, and if WWE doesnt want fans just expecting the Authority to make it a no-DQ match and then liberally interfere, then youve got to make it look like Rollins can take care of business.
Scott is a former journalist and longtime wrestling fan who was smart enough to abandon WCW during the Monday Night Wars the same time as the Radicalz. He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
