7. Will Kalisto Defect To MexAmerica?
Every tournament has to have an upset somewhere in its brackets. Whether were talking about college basketball or the world of professional wrestling, upsets are a part of the fabric of tournaments. And WWE booked its own upset on Smackdown, with Kalisto shunning the sacrificial lamb image and defeating Ryback to advance. Kalisto will now face Alberto Del Rio in the quarterfinals in what should be a foregone conclusion: Del Rio has been booked strongly since returning and is the United States Champion, while Kalisto is one half of a tag team. However, given Del Rio and Zeb Colters perplexing MexAmerica angle and the fact that Kalisto is billed from Mexico City one has to wonder if something might come of that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2xDEXr9Xvk Could Del Rio try to recruit Kalisto to join his faction? Is there a chance Kalisto steps aside to allow his countryman to advance? Or will all of this just be ignored and well get a straight-up one-on-one match?
