8 Contenders To Replace Mick Foley As WWE RAW General Manager

4. Kane

After two decades as an active competitor on the WWE roster, Kane's role is clearly being stripped back somewhat. The Big Red Monster missed out on the Royal Rumble in 2017, a match that he has made his own over the past 20 years, and hasn't competed in a single televised match in the new year. Could retirement be on the cards for The Devil's Favourite Demon?

If the days of Kane as an active wrestler are coming to an end a position of authority will surely be waiting for him. Kane had a run as a member of The Authority in 2014 and 2015, and whilst Corporate Kane eventually gave way to the return of the Demon, that experience will stand him in good stead. Kane could well be a dark horse for a GM position on WWE TV at some point down the line.

Kane's career has been one of the strangest in the history of professional wrestling and a return to the suits and ties of Corporate Kane as GM Kane would provide yet another tangent for the man. Kane is well-spoken, highly respected, and liable to flip to his crazy side at a moment's notice. Kane might just be the perfect authority figure for WWE TV.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
