8 Contenders To Replace Mick Foley As WWE RAW General Manager

2. Paul Heyman

If Paul Heyman were to be installed as the new RAW General Manager immediately following WrestleMania 33 it would almost certainly constitute as conflict of interest, as Heyman is likely to then be the advocate for the brand new WWE Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar. The rumours may not come to pass of course, but it is extremely unlikely that Heyman and Lesnar will split regardless.

Heyman has found his perfect role as the mouthpiece for his violent charge, but could his talents be put to better use in a position of authority on the flagship show? Heyman's run as SmackDown General Manager over a decade ago coincided with some of the best WWE television in recent memory, and there is no reason why a similar role on RAW couldn't see an upswing in fortunes for the flagship show.

Heyman consistently gives the best promos in WWE and comes with an almost-embedded air of corrupt authority. He is as likely to kowtow to the McMahons as he is to stand up to them. IHeyman also has vast experience of getting the best out of talent, something that RAW seems unable to do during the Mick Foley era. If he is allowed any backtage involvement, Paul Heyman could well be the best thing that could happen to WWE's flagship show.
