8 Disturbing WWE Raw Moments You Totally Don't Remember
5. Youth Is Wasted On The Young (30 December 2012)
Okay, everyone remembers wrestling legend Mae Young's romantic entanglement with Mark 'Sexual Chocolate' Henry at the age of seventy-six, and the fruit of that particular union. If you don't... well, talk to the hand.
On the 30 December 2012 edition of Raw, Mae Young was warming up for her match with then-Divas Champion Eve Torres, when she began experiencing stomach cramps. It was determined that she was once again pregnant... and about to give birth. This time, no father would be lurking in the background. I'm not sure whether the implication was intended to be that this was some kind of divine intervention, or whether literally the only point of this ropy comedy angle was to allow Young to wail to camera, "Not again...!"
Whatever the case, Eve declared herself the winner by forfeit, only for Mae Young's babyface hero of a bestie, Kaitlyn, to march furiously to ringside and attack the champion. Why she did this, God only knows: clearly a woman about to give birth can't be expected to compete, and clearly Eve wasn't responsible for the advanced stage of the pregnancy.
Later that night, Young gave birth to 'Baby New Year', a one-off character played by Dylan 'Hornswoggle' Postl, tattoos and all, dressed in a nappy, with a 'Happy New Year' sash, a cigar and a top hat on.
Now, let's allow this precious moment to sink in. What this means is that, according to WWE canon, the late Mae Young has two children that survive her: one giant hand, whose father is the World's Strongest Man, and one tattooed little person. It also means that Hornswoggle himself has a doppelganger out there. The implications are weird and horrifying, like a Clive Barker novel brought to really stupid life.
