It's surprising that Michael 'P.S' Hayes hasn't yet been inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame, but perhaps management have just been waiting for the right moment. Given that the 2016 ceremony takes place in Texas, there's no better place than next year. Earlier in 2015, he was inducted into the Pro Wrestling Hall Of Fame, with the WWE version sure to follow. By far the most fruitful period of the man's career was when he was a member of The Fabulous Freebirds. Originally, the group was comprised of Hayes, Terry Gordy and Buddy Roberts. Another famous incarnation was formed when Terry Garvin joined the faction in 1983, and that version is probably the one which is most fondly remembered. Aside from some fleeting appearances, the Freebirds were not really prevalent in the WWF, but they certainly made an impact in the business. Instead, they made their name in companies like World Class Championship Wrestling and Georgia Championship Wrestling. The group also appeared in World Championship Wrestling later. Hayes has been part of the backstage crew in WWE for years (he's a writer and producer/agent), but The Fabulous Freebirds are genuine Texas legends. As fare as who could/should induct them, Diamond Dallas Page would be a good fit, since he managed them for a brief spell in 1991.
