8 Fights To Make After UFC 246

7. Anthony Pettis Vs. Li Jingaling

Although Anthony Pettis is still a former UFC champion, it's becoming quite clear that he's taken a step back as a competitor over the last few years. He's fought a lot of sensational opponents, but it might be time for him go down a level when it comes to who is competing with.

Showtime has been in a lot of brilliant wars over the years, but the unforgiving nature of this sport means that those battles will eventually catch up with fighters in the long run and we're seeing that with Pettis. While he still has the flashy kicks and vicious knockout power that made him a fan-favourite, his opponents aren't getting slower and he's certainly not getting quicker.

A good opponent for him would be Chinese welterweight Li Jingliang. Jingaling is a violent striker himself, so will mostly contest the match-up on the feet with Pettis. However, he's got enough defensive flaws in his game where Pettis' creative striking could cause him some serious problems.
