8 Hidden Meanings Behind AEW All Out Attires

4. Cody - The Legend Of Zelda

Seven Of Nine
James Musselwhite

Pro wrestler. Executive Vice President. Booker. Emerging entrepreneur in the cigar industry.

Also, again, and it's self-professed: gigantic nerd.

Cody gushed over the seminal Legend of Zelda video game series during his Starrcast panel appearance with Tony Schiavone. Schiavone prefers the 16-bit masterpiece A Link To The Past, a counterargument for which does not exist. A triumph of adventure game design, it is the template for every subsequent entry in the series.

Cody prefers Ocarina of Time, the series' first, majestic foray into 3D. Perhaps his experience with that motherf*cking, sh*t-sucking Water Temple steeled him for his despondent time spent within the WWE system. Perhaps he challenged that "Yes! Yes! Godd*mnit yes I did it" feeling of total accomplishment to drive his journey to become the most popular babyface in modern American wrestling.

WWE was its own series of gruelling dungeons to Cody: ridiculous gimmicks, retconned tag teams, the drained heart of a botched dream match - eventually, he located the bombs and left through a crack in the door.

Perhaps this is why he revealed a gold and red colour palette on his tights, echoing the iconic SNES cover art of A Link To The Past.

Or the nerd thing.
