4. New Day Dawns

The Usos have finally found their heel voices in recent months, and can now proceed without the SmackDown Live! Tag Team Titles after what should be their last clash with The New Day.

Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E still feel like the biggest stars of the SmackDown Live! tag division since making their delayed debuts following the 'Superstar Shake-up', but they are in danger of falling into identical traps that were set for them on Monday Night Raw following the end of a record-setting reign with those doubles straps last December.

It became evident how vital the belts were to The New Day's act. Imbibing them with legitimacy underneath the silliness, the performances became substantially more one dimensional without opponents to chase or a significant angle to cling on to, and the lack of titles reverted their confidence back to heel obnoxiousness.

Victory here should see them head into SummerSlam as champions for a major new programme, ideally affording them a second lengthy run before a split that inevitably has to occur in order to give any of the three a shot at singles glory.
