8 Huge WWE Elimination Chamber 2021 Predictions You Need To Know

Lighting a fire under WWE's Road To WrestleMania, and other less literal predictions.

There's something uncomfortably sobering about trying to transport yourself back to this time last year.

Do you remember much about your hopes, dreams and aspirations for Elimination Chamber 2020 before the event took place? Your thoughts on Braun Strowman defending his Intercontinental Championship against Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro? Your predictions for the latest development in the ongoing love story between Otis and Mandy Rose? Your forecast on Andrade Vs Humberto Carillo and the big years ahead for both?

If any of those were your actual hopes, dreams and aspirations, more power to you. But for the rest of us, the primary objectives for last year's event were a) to reheat Shayna Baszler for WrestleMania and b) for Elimination Chamber not be the last pay-per-view to be held in front of a crowd before the entire world f*cking stopped and absolutely everything went to sh*t in a chapter of human history that will be discussed forever. It only had a 50% success rate.

It'll hang over this event, much like the Chamber itself will over the ring during the midcard matches - if they even add any more after two looked scuppered with just days to go. There's a familiar feeling to that carelessness at least - maybe this is as close to the old normal as the new one after all.

There's a lot of room on this card, and more on that later, but surely the show itself would benefit from one of several champions that don't have much to do for the night.

It feels the right time for Big E to conclusively defeat Apollo Crews, if only for the Challenger to turn his life around later on in the show, and in hugely dramatic fashion. Sasha Banks is currently keeping Bianca Belair close ahead of their probably WrestleMania clash, but she can knock out something great at short notice on Sunday. Same too for Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode and The Street Profits, based on their efforts thus far.

And as a way to shoehorn Damian Priest onto the card and get some more mileage out of their favourite recent celebrity guest, 24/7 Champion Bad Bunny should be on hand to defend and perhaps even retain his meaningless title. They can easily get to WrestleMania with him as an active part of this show at this point, especially if he looks a cut above the usual dweebs racing after the "prize".
