8 HUGE WWE Extreme Rules 2022 Predictions You Need To Know

4. Matt Riddle Vs. Seth "Freakin" Rollins

The successes of the Seth Rollins/Matt Riddle programme are rooted mostly in the successes of Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle in 2022.

An alienating figure to many (and for many reasons), Riddle's cards were marked with Rollins for real life reasons dating back years, but the folding of some of that into the worked violence between the two has worked like a dream. Daniel Cormier being added as a special guest referee highlighted the thought and foreshadowing that got them there too. This could and should absolutely rule.

With NXT's Fight Pit promoted to the main roster as the destination, Triple H might have curated a logical new blow-off for Riddle programmes that can be transported to others in much the same way Hell In The Cell started life centred around the few rather than the many.

'The Game' himself was a recipient of that - having defeated Cactus Jack in the structure at No Way Out 2000, he replaced The Undertaker as the self-appointed gatekeeper of it for several years, and Riddle's victory here should scan as a similarly worthy triumph. Especially if the match goes on last.

Winner - Matt Riddle
