8 HUGE WWE Extreme Rules 2022 Predictions You Need To Know

2. Drew McIntyre Vs. Karrion Kross

Drew McIntyre's Clash At The Castle weekend was total perfection until it wasn't.

In a sense, WWE did a masterful job of presenting the 'Scottish Warrior' as Roman Reigns' equal for the precise duration he needed to be it. An indifferent build hadn't quite managed the task at hand, but a week back in the UK and the usual promo tour went a long way to restoring some the 2020 good will in the former WWE Champion.

The feeling carried over to the match itself, where the opening exchanges appeared to foreshadow the only possible outcome on "home" soil for the challenger. When it didn't go that way and McIntyre was left with one of the more humiliating consolation prizes in company history, it became clear that a new direction was the order of the day and an introspective downward spiral might have been on the cards.

This is a smart way for the Scot to bounce back, and it allows a lot of heels to benefit in the meantime. Karrion Kross will be the first, succeeding in this strap match that might undulate in quality but will serve as the destination for one of the evening's big reveals.

Let's get back to Bray...

Winner - Karrion Kross
