8 Lesser Known Wrestling Streaks
1. Rusev
Thanks to a long-term injury, Rusev has been off the wrestling radar for a little while now, but rewind three years and he was smack-bang in the middle of one of the most impressive undefeated streaks in WWE history.
The Bulgarian Brute, who made his main roster bow in the 2014 Royal Rumble (which, although he did not win, saw him put in an impressive performance), initially went more than a year before suffering a singles loss, seeing off stiff competition from the likes of former world champions Big Show, Sheamus, Mark Henry and Jack Swagger.
There was an air of inevitability about his defeat to John Cena at WrestleMania 31 (even if he did taste victory in the corresponding match the previous month) but after a year without defeat, there's no shame in losing to The Champ.
