8 Major Problems With Brock Lesnar Vs. Jinder Mahal

7. It Is A Waste Of Brock

Brock Lesnar singles matches don’t come around too often. Lesnar’s limited schedule is well documented, and 'The Beast Incarnate' only turns up for major singles matches. A cursory glance at his bouts over the past few years shows a list of some of wrestling’s all-time greats: The Undertaker, CM Punk, John Cena, Triple H, Goldberg. The list goes on.

Brock Lesnar vs. Jinder Mahal is a colossal waste of one of those dates. Jinder simply isn’t on the level of a Brock opponent, WWE Champion or not. WWE will be hoping that the ‘Champion vs. Champion’ aspect is enough to sell this match to fans, blind to the damage that has been done to the title around Jinder’s waist.

At Survivor Series 2016, Brock Lesnar and Goldberg did battle in a match hyped by telling fans that ‘Fantasy Warfare Just Got Real’. One year later, the 'Conquerer' is going to do battle against a man with a televised winning percentage of just 19%. Something doesn’t add up there.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
