7. Melina Tricks Mick Foley Into Joining The 'Kiss My Ass' Club
In 2006, Mick Foley began a curious alliance with Melina, one reportedly based on a real-life friendship. The Hardcore Legend proceeded to do decidedly un-hardcore things, such as deliberately losing an 'I Quit' match at SummerSlam when Melina was threatened by Ric Flair. This led to one of the most uncomfortable diva betrayals in WWE history, which saw Mick tricked out of his job - and into Vince McMahon's 'Kiss My Ass' club in the process. On an episode of Raw, Foley was forced to get on his knees and, y'know, do that thing Vince likes to make people do, or risk Melina's firing. He reluctantly did so, after telling a tearful Melina "you are on the verge of becoming one of the biggest superstars the WWE has ever seen", a line which justifiably received zero crowd reaction. Melina then gave Mick a (not so) shocking low blow, turning heel and firing Foley on the orders of Vince.
