Though Joseph Ruby (otherwise known as Joe Gacy) cames into WWE through EVOLVE, he is better known for his work in the gritty, grimy world of Combat Zone Wrestling, where he is a three-time World Champion. Ruby still holds that belt, in fact. It's unlikely that WWE would let him go back to the deathmatch-adjacent promotion to drop it.

While Ruby made a home in the land of light tubes and barbed wire, he is a well-rounded brawler who does the hardcore stuff well, but is adaptable enough to hold his own in almost any environment. He is a 14-year veteran who started appearing for EVOLVE in 2018, eventually forming the Unwanted stable with Colby Corino, Eddie Kingston, and Shane 'Isaiah Scott' Strickland.

Ruby's WWE signing was first reported in late August.
