8 Potential Consequences Of WWE's Rumoured Budget Cuts

4. Letting Renee Young Walk

Renee Young was understandably upset by Talking Smack's cancellation. The genial host and her camaraderie with Daniel Bryan was a huge part of what made the show worth watching, and the duo clearly put a lot of pride into their work. When TS was canned, nobody would've been more disappointed than them, and Renee found out in the worst possible way: through Twitter.

The popular Canadian will continue to host the show after SmackDown-branded pay-per-views, but her role within WWE has been greatly diminished. With Unfiltered, her other Network exclusive, also cut, Young has been relegated to backstage interviews and Kickoff Show hosting duties, which has naturally led to speculation on her future.

Young has been a rumoured target for major sports broadcasters like Fox and ESPN for years. She likely enjoys working with her husband Dean Ambrose in WWE, but if one of these organisations offers her a bigger payday and greater stability, she may be enticed, and WWE may not stand in her way if she wanted to walk. They'd be letting go of an immensely talented broadcaster, but if the chance to save money without harming business materialises, they'll likely take it.
