3. Ryback vs Big Show
In another surprising turn of events, Ryback emerged from the Intercontinental Chamber match with the gold around his waist. Many suspected Lana to betray Ziggler and secure victory for Rusev, but with the Bulgarian Brute sidelined with a broken foot, plans appear to have changed. Of course, this could have been the plan all along, but Ryback's recent loss to Bray Wyatt at Payback seems at odds with that theory. Working out who Ryback should face at MITB, and he definitely should defend the title at the event (the last thing the belt needs is to be lost in the scuffle for the briefcase), is pretty simple. It's Big Show. The two had an encounter last night on RAW. Even if Ryback can pull off a Shell Shock, then this has the potential to be a one-highlight match. It's not really a pairing that inspires much confidence, fans anticipating a slow, clumsy contest, but the same could be said about Reigns vs Big Show at Extreme Rules, so perhaps it's best to wait and see. Whatever happens, losing the belt after only two week would be disastrous for Ryback and the WWE's current quest to rebuild the IC title's prestige. Rebuke pretty much has to retain.
