7. Wrestling With A Purpose
TNA has provided most of the matches at Slammiversary with story line support. EC3 vs. Bennett, Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy, Drew Galloway vs. Lashley and Maria vs. Gail Kim have all been prepared over a period of many weeks. With grudges established, these matches have a purpose. This doesn’t always happen in pro wrestling.
“Yeah. The majority of the matches have pretty good story lines on there. I routinely make sure the stories going into matches are told well and have the deserved culminations. That’s one of my favourite things about pro wrestling. That’s what I want to do: tell good stories.”
