2. Bobby Lashley - 8 Days

The most recent entry into this list, of course, is new WWE Champion Bobby Lashley.

Having dropped the United States Title to Riddle in a triple threat contest also featuring John Morrison, it took the Almighty just eight days to claim his next piece of championship gold.

For Lashley, it's been a long, long journey to finally get to the top of the WWE mountain. Having first signed with WWE back in 2004, it seemed like a formality that the powerhouse performer would become a World Champion during his initial stint with Vince McMahon's promotion.

Instead, it never quite worked out that way for the Dominator by the time that WWE tenure came to an end in 2008. Shots at both the WWE Championship and World Heavyweight Championship came during that run, but the best Lashley got was a stint as the ECW Champion and a solid spell as the United States Champion.

Upon returning to the WWE fold in 2018 - complete with four IMPACT World Heavyweight Championship reigns under his belt - many pondered whether WWE would finally pull the trigger with Lashley as a true main event player.

It took a little while to get there, but here is: Bobby Lashley, WWE Champion.

Once described as the Swiss Army Knife of WhatCulture, Andrew can usually be found writing, editing, or presenting on a wide range of topics.
