8 Reasons Rick Rude Deserves WWE Hall Of Fame 2017 Induction
3. He Was A Fantastic Worker
Rick Rude is mostly remembered for his personality, which is fair - he was incredibly charismatic and he set a template for many wrestlers after him to follow. What often gets overlooked, though, is just how talented and technically proficient Rude was in the ring.
Bret Hart, considered by many to be the greatest wrestler of all time, has gone on record as saying that Rude and Mr. Perfect were the best technical wrestlers of their era. Just watching a Rude match makes it easy to see that "The Hitman" was spot on - "The Ravishing One" was an absolute expert when it came to getting the best out of his opponents, even if they were lacking a polished ability.
Part of what made Rude's style so compelling was the way he bumped. As a heel in an era with physically huge babyfaces, Rude was forced to take and sell a beating. He did just that - who can forget him getting press slammed by The Ultimate Warrior? - to make his foes look good.
