4. It Was Hard To Pick A Favorite, As A Fan

Given the stipulations, it was the quintessential, 'damned either way' match. If Undertaker loses, you're saying goodbye to one of the seminal characters in professional wrestling history, but Shane would be able to overthrow the corrupt regime that plagues Raw (in story only; the writing would barely change). So do you root for Shane if you hate what Raw has become, or do you root for Undertaker to keep his illustrious career alive?

Neither man had done anything particularly evil en route to the match, unless you consider standing up to the other with a stiff upper lip to be heinous. Both men were consumed by pride and self-preservation, and you didn't want either to be short-changed. The only 'evil' that needed conquering couldn't bother to make a run in.
