8 Reasons WWE Dropped The Ball With Damien Sandow

5. He Can Play Any Role

One of the things that made Damien Sandow so valuable to WWE was his versatility. The company asked him to play many different roles during his tenure there, and he was able to excel at anything that was asked of him.

While there's no way for us mere fans to know exactly how smart Damien Sandow is in real life, he always played a genius very convincingly. When he started dressing up as different characters - real and fictional - he showed an uncanny comic timing and a talent for impersonation. That latter talent served him well when he began mimicking The Miz full tme.

Who's to say that WWE (and the WWE Universe) had seen the best of what Sandow had to offer? A future opportunity (one thought up by a competent creative team) could have been the one that catapulted him to the very top of the card. Some of the most successful talents in wrestling history had to go through many gimmicks before they found a winner, and it's too bad WWE gave up on Sandow before that could happen with him.
