8 Reasons WWE SummerSlam Will Be Better Than WrestleMania 31
8. Sting Can Redeem Himself
One of WrestleMania 31's biggest drawbacks was the misuse of Sting. Arguably the biggest wrestler never to appear in a WWE ring, 'The Icon' finally had his rabidly anticipated debut match under Vince McMahon...and promptly lost to Triple H. Not only did he lose, he lost after being smashed in the head with a sledgehammer, and still saw fit to shake the Game's hand, accepting his defeat like a good little WCW legend. SummerSlam offers Sting the chance to redeem himself, or at least start along the road to redemption. Rumours of a match have flown around for a while, but nothing has been confirmed. An alternative theory has Sting interfering in the main event to cost Undertaker his match with Lesnar, thereby setting up the long-awaited Taker/Sting dream matchup. Whatever Sting's involvement, it surely can't be as poor as his 'WrestleMania moment', which turned out to be nothing more than a glorified excuse for the WWE to prove their dominance over WCW once again.
