5. Jeff Hardy Slipping Back Into His Own "Woken" Gimmick

Shortly before he was drafted to SmackDown in the Superstar Shakeup, Jeff Hardy teamed with Finn Bálor and Seth Rollins to take on The Miz and his Miztourage on the 9 April edition of Raw. When walking backstage pre-match with his team mates, Jeff bumped into his brother Matt.

That's when things got weird.

Suddenly, Jeff slipped back into his Brother Nero guise and even offered a hug to Bray Wyatt, remarking that he was pleased his sibling had been able to rid him of Sister Abigail. Meanwhile, Bálor and Rollins rightly looked perplexed. They weren't the only ones.

This has never been referenced again. On SmackDown, Jeff doesn't act as weird as he did here and he certainly doesn't show any hints of the Nero character in his work. Unlike Matt, he still plays the same nostalgia act he did when the brothers returned as The Hardy Boyz at 'Mania 33.

A segment like this, though humorous, didn't make any sense, especially if WWE weren't going to follow up.
