Infamously - and apocryphally - CM Punk's 2009 World Heavyweight Championship reign ended with a merciless, retributive dressing down from The Undertaker for his failure to dress up. The locker-room prefect had apparently taken umbrage with Punk's casual clothes during a tour of Europe, and after management caught wind, he was supposedly punished.

It seems far fetched that WWE would book their top title on the basis of a sartorial misstep, but there is precedent for such punitive measures. The Road Warriors had a miserable spell in Stamford in the early-'90s, and their grumblings weren't aided when Animal was apparently threatened with a fine for wearing jeans during a flight.

Johnny the Bull, who the company won as part of their WCW sale in 2001, found himself on the wrong side of a $500 mulct for wearing a baseball cap on a bus. Apparently, the gross transgression of the 'business casual' code came at three in the morning. Outrageous. Punk got off lightly, it seems.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
