8 Secrets Behind WWE Posters You Never Noticed
3. Whose Hands Are They, Anyway?
Several months before Vengeance: Night of Champions, the washer went on the wrestling internet's taps, as it's prone to, and out leaked a spoilerific poster rather appropriately depicting the company's three top title holders: WWE champ John Cena, ECW equivalent Bobby Lashley, and World Heavyweight heavy The Undertaker.
With the concept of the PPV being that all the gold would be on the line, the slip seemingly revealed half its back end painfully prematurely. Except... it didn't. Come the show, The Deadman was on ice, having being edged out by Edge at Money in the Bank, allowing him to take time out to nurse a biceps injury.
Rather than go to the effort of shooting a brand new poster, WWE's photoshop wizards simply plonked Edge in behind our Bob and John - though not entirely. Look closely, and you see those are in fact The Undertaker's disembodied hands, eerily holding The Rated R Superstar's belt like some ghostly butler.
