8 Things AEW Need To Do To Reach The Next Level

2. Back And Forth Promos

Credit where it’s due, AEW seemed to have addressed one of the biggest complaints surrounding their first few episodes: a lack of promo time. Last couple of shows have seen more stars being given the mic and letting loose their explosive verbal skills. It’s just, most of the promos we see are basically monologues.

In contrast, some of the best mic work we have been treated to on AEW TV thus far involved all parties standing opposite one another and unleashing every manner of spoken fury on the adversary. Just last week, MJF and Jericho took part in a brilliant back and forth exchange which had fans screaming their voices hoarse.

Given the abundance of skilled talkers they have at their disposal, it is somewhat surprising AEW don’t do this more often and it certainly is something they should be looking at, especially given the success of the last one.
