8 Things We Learned From Hulk Hogan On Talk Is Jericho

3. Eddie Graham Made Him Cry

Eddie Graham The fabled story of Hulk Hogan getting his leg broken during his first day of training by Japanese wrestler Hiro Matsuda has once again been confirmed in this interview. Hogan was repeatedly worked over in his early days of training and used the anger he felt at being taken advantage of to fuel his motivation and keep going. Eventually Jack and Gerry Brisco came in to see him get stretched, then told Hulk he was done with Matsuda and was going to start working out with Eddie Graham. The Hulkster said he was even more intimidated by the prospect of working with the legendary wrestler/promoter, but not long after getting in the ring with Eddie he actually showed Hogan how to work rather than just sadistically punishing him out of some sense of perverse enjoyment. Hollywood was so overcome with emotion once he realized just how badly he had been maliciously abused in his initial training that he actually broke down in tears.
