8 Things We Learned From Brock Lesnar's Revealing ESPN Interview
7. He's Not Impressed By Dana White's "Fake Sh*t" Comments
A few weeks back, UFC boss Dana White upset both wrestlers and wrestling fans when he dismissed the WWE as "fake sh*t." His comments didn't sit well with Brock Lesnar either, and the Beast Incarnate was quick to acknowledge that while the WWE is obviously fake, what the UFC is promoting - fights - is ultimately no different to what they're doing. They're two sides of the same coin. "It is a staged arena, everybody knows that," Lesnar explained. "If you cant turn WWE on Monday night and get something out of that show and be entertained, then theres something wrong with you. Dana is probably, in his defense, is promoting fighting, but its the same thing. Hes trying to sell pay-per-views, hes trying to sell money fights, its the same racket." That's a pretty much perfect way of putting it, and a much more diplomatic response than some WWE Superstars had following White's controversial Tweet. However, in a comment which is sure to upset the UFC President, Brock added: "I think Vince McMahon is better at it than Dana and that might rub Dana the wrong way. Vince is the pioneer of it. Hes been doing this his whole life and hes damn good at it." Ouch! However, the WWE is something Brock is clearly extremely passionate about, so it's understandable that he would throw what sounds like a well aimed barb in there at his former boss. While the WWE doesn't make a habit of referencing UFC programming, they always do so with respect, so White's comments came across as unnecessary and idiotic. Who better to put him in his place than a former UFC Champion?
