8 Things We Learned From Tyler Breeze On The Sam Roberts Show

1. Dedication & Being A Childhood Fan

In the best example of a pointless question ever, Katie asks Tyler if he thinks the Performance Center and NXT is a good training ground for making it to the main roster, and he responds "100%. If you want to be on the main roster and you want to be on WrestleMania you have no other choice." She then talks about the training and the grind and asks if some people just aren't cut out for it. Breeze says he was told early on that if this isn't something that you wholeheartedly love, chances are you're going to be miserable. He talks about the frequent bumps, the wear and tear on your body and the commitment to working out, eating healthy and traveling. He says that you have to be fully dedicated to all of that, and the fact is that some people just can't handle it. Those who love it are going to suck it up and do it. Tyler says he knew since he was six years old that he wanted to be a wrestler, and Roberts asked him who he looked up to as a child. He responds that he was "the perfect WWE fan" in the sense that he liked everyone they wanted him to like, noting that he loved Bret Hart, Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels. Basically, he would go with whoever WWE steered him toward. The interview ends rather abruptly, but it was a fun 20 minutes that breezed by (sorry, I had to). Tyler seems like a guy who is very excited about the advancements he's made in his career. The fact that his obvious passion for NXT is so palpable will make it all the more disappointing if his main roster run goes sour. Hopefully he's able to get over and make an impact as he seems like a good guy just trying to make a living doing what he loves.
