8 Things We've Learned From The Hulk Hogan Racism Controversy

1. Hulk Hogan Will Be Back In WWE One Day

It didn't take Hulk Hogan long to go into damage limitation mode, quoting scripture on social media as well as throwing Vince McMahon and the president of the United States under the bus. Hogan is deflecting the attention away from himself, while also telling everyone who will listen that it wasn't the 'real' Hulk Hogan who said those things. Because, deep down inside, Hogan (and WWE fans) know that he will be back. While he said some horrific things and acted in a totally unacceptable way, he will still be forgiven and welcomed back by a large percentage of the WWE fan base. America loves a comeback story and childhood heroes tend to be forgiven more readily than most. This is not the first time Hogan has been staring into the abyss. In the early 90s, when he lied about his steroid usage on the Arsenio Hall Show, their was outcry. In the mid-2000s, when his personal life began falling apart and his son was involved in the near-killing of John Graziano, Hulk managed to spin it. In Hogan's mind, he's probably picturing the next WWE Hulk Hogan appreciation night. It might happen in ten year's time. But it will happen. WWE may be distancing themselves from Hogan now, but, when there's money to be made in the future, and the controversy has died down, the two will be in business again.
