4. She Managed William Regal To The Intercontinental Championship
Layla has accomplished a great deal in her eight years with World Wrestling Entertainment. She has filled many roles and won a handful of titles. The stints as part of LayCool and Extreme Expose are the most memorable but there was one run she had, albeit very short, that stands out as one of her best. In 2008, Layla jumped ship from ECW to Raw and struck up a unique relationship with William Regal. As his manager, the sassy Brit would stand by the prim and proper, though dangerous, veteran as he captured the Intercontinental Championship. Regal was on the roll of his career in 2008, winning the King of the Ring tournament, enjoying a run as Raw general manager that saw him at his most hated and Layla was there for the culmination of the hot streak when he defeated Santino Marella in a definitive squash to win the Intercontinental Championship. At his age, it was clear that Regal was not the performer he once was but the presentation, with him getting as much heat as anyone on the card and Layla standing by his side, helping to assist him to victory when the time came, for a spectacular act. When Layla was drafted to SmackDown in the spring of 2009, it became clear that WWE had significantly missed the boat on what could have been a money-drawing devious duo.
