A lot of folk seemed to have Carmella winning this match, but for the life of me I can't quite understand why. The Princess of Staten Island has dominated the feud from start to finish, the good gal has to get a victory in somewhere right? With SmackDown's women's division still in its infancy this was absolutely the right decision.

The match itself certainly wasn't Dean Malenko vs. Ultimo Dragon, but it was more than cromulent. The finish was as it should be, too, with Carmella's confidence and arrogance getting the better of her as the veteran Bella took advantage of the slightest opening to pick up the victory.

Going forward both Nikki and Carmella look strong, and their story can continue from here. SmackDown's women's division continues to be a strong hit.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man.
