8 Things WWE Got Wrong At TLC 2017

7. Jason Jordan's Disdain For Produce

If Jason Jordan and Elias (né Samson) were going be thrown onto the card at the last minute, did we really need a conveyor belt of regrettable segments to get there? The Drifter kept trying to play a song, only for Jordan to pelt him with vegetables and provoke him into a match. Keep in mind that Jason Jordan is supposed to be the babyface.

These segments were absolutely diabolical. They did nothing for Elias and they did nothing for Jordan, other than make him look like a petulant child. The crowd may have reacted slightly for thrown lettuce, but by the time the two got to the ring the heat was gone.

These segments also made RAW management look stupid. Sure, Kurt Angle was preparing for the main event, but would he not have put someone in charge in his stead? Angle allowed Elias the chance to sing, but multiple times? It is obviously a little too much to expect such logic from WWE, but these segments were a drag on a show that threatened to overachieve at times.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
