It must be good to be Lana right now. The Ravishing Russian has just married real-life fiancé Rusev - the man of all our dreams, naturally - and is currently one of the most prominent non-wrestlers in WWE.
However, things haven't always been so smooth for Lana since her main roster debut in 2014. Although a fantastic heel manager and a very popular figure with a large portion of the WWE Universe, the former actress and model has encountered her fair share of obstacles along the way.
Here are eight things WWE would probably rather we forgot about Lana, just don't tell the Bulgarian Brute - we'd rather not have our arms ripped off.
8. She's Not Really Russian!
What is the most basic part of Lana's character, the very foundation upon which her entire personality is built? That's right! She's Russian.
Except she's not. Lana's real name is Catherine Joy 'C.J.' Perry, and she was born in the distinctly un-Russian town of Gainesville, Florida. According to this profile of her old girl-group (more on that later), she is actually of Venezuelan and Latvian descent.
In fairness, Lana did spend a lot of her childhood in Latvia, and can pull off a convincing Eastern European accent. Well, most of the time...
