7. That NXT Segment Was Genuinely Rigged
Carter, as Derrick Bateman, was a competitor on Season 4 of NXT (the poorly constructed B-show, not the current developmental promotion we all know and love).
With Daniel Bryan as his pro, Bateman competed in a series of challenges - most notably a hilarious "Mr. and Mrs."-esque segment where the pair were tasked with providing similar answers to personal questions.
From the moment both answered 'Tulsa, Oklahoma' to the entirely irrelevant first question, it was clear that the pair had rigged the contest. Hilarious pro wrestling antics, for sure, but Carter revealed in a later interview that the duo had legitimately rigged the contest for their own amusement.
