After his appearance in cinema classic Ready to Rumble, Rey Mysterio upped the credentials of his acting oeuvre with a brief cameo in 2003's movie masterpiece Freddy vs. Jason. How many actors can boast such a glittering CV?

To call Rey's appearance a 'cameo' in the subpar slasher is maybe pushing it a bit; his role consisted of little more than acting as Robert Englund's stunt double for all of about five seconds. Quite why the lithe luchador was selected for this gig is anyone's guess. Perhaps stuntmen who can manage the difficult dual discipline of taking a bump and wearing a mask are few and far between in Hollywood?
