8 Things You Won't Believe WWE Superstars Hit Their Finishers On

2. Chokeslam To Pete Rose

Kane does not like Pete Rose. Rose initially appeared in the WWF between 1998 and 2000, showing up at WrestleMania XIV firstly in the role of guest ring announcer. Kane, who was facing The Undertaker, took it upon himself to deliver the Tombstone Pliedriver to Rose before Taker made his way to the ring. Rose must have liked the sensation of having his head drilled into the mat as he returned for WrestleMania XV. He dressed as the San Diego Chicken and attacked Kane before the Big Red Machine's match. Kane, of course, conquered the chicken and delivered another Tombstone. He returned for a third WrestleMania appearance but was one again thwarted by Kane and his partner Rikishi. Rose also appeared in a WWE Halloween-themed commercial for 2002's No Mercy, taking a chokeslam from Kane. Two years later, Rose was inducted into the "Celebrity Wing" of the WWE Hall of Fame. He was the first celebrity to go into the Hall, and was inducted at a ceremony prior to WrestleMania XX by his tormentor, Kane. Rose's final WWE appearance came in 2010 as he guest hosted the Raw before WrestleMania XXVI. He set up a match between Kane and Shawn Michaels, which The Heart Brake Kid won. Later that night Kane attacked Rose off screen. Finally, Rose was briefly mentioned on WWE television during an anger management segment involving Kane and Daniel Bryan. Kane stated that: "For reasons never quite explained, I have an unhealthy obsession with torturing Pete Rose." Rose was later interviewed on WWE.com about his experiences with Kane's anger.
