8 Times Dolph Ziggler Has Nearly Sabotaged His WWE Career
2. Worked Shoot Tweets
As we've already covered, Dolph Ziggler has a penchant for using his Twitter in a controversial manner. Nowadays, WWE stars take to social media to interact with fans, promote themselves and even engage in "beef" with their peers to help further storylines. The line can often become blurred as the recent Lana and Rusev engagement debacle has shown us. Ziggler used his platform to take a few shots at Sheamus, as well as teasing a departure from the company at the time his contract expires. Earlier this year he posted the following tweet:
I've got the boyz to make the noize! years in the making, almost as long as we've been waiting for you to connect! trust me, he connects. Frustrated, outdated, I really wanna be overrated. overachievement & charisma ALMOST equals being tall & wearing marital beads in your mouth, yet I'm the one with the ATTITUDE problem. It's not 'what can the system do for you' it's 'what can the system do for you' You've got 5 months to prove that "I" need "YOU" This is for everyone screwed over because they did what they weren't supposed to, GET OVER it. you mad, bro? sad, for a guy who never loses. BTW haven't you kissed enough ass, fella?...Bang your head.
This seems to be an allusion to Ziggler wanting to leave the company when his contract is up, wrapped within an interpretation of Quiet Riot lyrics. He also has taken several other shots at Sheamus via Twitter, and with Dolph there's no way to tell what's real and what's kayfabe. The tone of the above text - as well as the synbtax - would imply that this was a hastily typed out message conveying his true feelings, something WWE probably wasn't fond of.
