Evolution co-members Triple H and Randy Orton share a long and disappointing history, going right back to their first encounter at Unforgiven 2004, in which the former robbed his one-time protégé of the World Heavyweight Championship mere weeks after he won it.

But, by common consent, the most underwhelming match they shared came nearly five years later at WrestleMania 25, in what must probably go down as the poorest main event the Showcase of the Immortals has seen in the last two decades.

Mostly, this was because of the jarring contrast between the build-up - where HHH, having watched Orton beat up his wife, wanted to rip his opponent from limb to limb - and the occasion itself, a conventional singles bout in which weapon use was prohibited.

It just felt wrong. There was really nothing to set it apart from any other match that the duo had fought together, apart from the fact that they both hit their finishing moves almost immediately after the opening bell (which proved to be the high point of the entire 25 minutes).
