8 Times Stephanie McMahon Actively Damaged Women In WWE

2. A Burial With Flair

As the woman chosen to reinitiate a Women's Title from the dying embers of the Divas Division Charlotte Flair hugely came into her own in 2016 after a run of thrilling in-ring performances and a mutually beneficial partnership with her Father stationed ringside for her matches.

Kicking him to the curb was the next logical step in getting her over as a dominant and domineering heel, but she didn't count on a dressing down from arguably the single most oedipally manipulative performer in company history.

As the character that twice attempted to lift the company from her Father's clutch in the first two years of her television lifespan, there was absolutely no logical reason why Stephanie McMahon would loathe Charlotte's callous attitude towards 'The Nature Boy'. Viewers were asked not to care, just to watch.

And watch they did, as a Monday Night Raw backstage segment was dedicated to Stephanie verbally annihilating 'The Queen' for no other reason than because she could.

Calling her a "Spoiled, selfish, self-important brat" without leaving room for a reply, McMahon told the Women's Champion to "step back and shut your mouth". The pair never even teased hostilities or a match in the aftermath of the brow-beating. Charlotte - like her colleagues and the rest of the audience - was made to suffer for the ego of one person.
