8 Times Wrestlers Embarrassed Themselves On Camera

The long and winding road to superstardom for Joanie Laurer (aka Chyna) was not exactly "traditional" for a woman wrestler. Her looks didn't make her an immediate sex symbol in the mold of Sable or Trish Stratus, but a few trips to the plastic surgeon soon led to more TV time and, eventually, a cover shoot for Playboy Magazine.

But as her career started to spiral, so did her personal life, resulting in some drug abuse and more than a couple of bad decisions.

One of those decisions resulted in the release of a controversial sex tape, titled One Night in China, with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Sean Waltman (aka X-Pac). Although Laurer claims she never signed a deal to release the tape, Waltman was quick to point out that Red Light District Video gave her a check for $100,000.

Laurer also made claims that Waltman drugged her in order to get her to "perform" for the camera, though he once again rebutted:

"We both took quite a few pharmaceuticals that night. No one had to slip her anything. I'm not fond of falsely being accused of rape."

The scandal tainted Chyna's reputation and began a downward spiral she wouldn't recover from.
