8 Times WWE Thought They'd Be Invaded FOR REAL

5. Chyna Turns Up Outside WWE HQ

These days, WWE heralds Joanie 'Chyna' Laurer as a trailblazer, a groundbreaker, a gamechanger and a true legend of the wrestling business.

In typical WWE fashion, sadly, this has only happened after Joanie passed away in 2016. Up until that point, Vince McMahon's company did everything they could to distance themselves from Chyna.

The first female WWE talent to actively compete against her male peers, the first (and only) female to become Intercontinental Champion and the first female to enter the Royal Rumble, fans had spent years clamouring for Chyna to take her rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame.

While Laurer is indeed now in the HOF as part of D-Generation X, it's ridiculous that she wasn't inducted as a solo act - and it's tragic that her DX induction happened after her passing.

Whether it was due to the real-life love triangle between Chyna, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, or whether it was down to the purported attitude issues of Joanie, WWE totally blackballed Chyna once she departed the company in 2001.

Back in 2015, though, Joanie Laurer had WWE worried she was going to invade its Stamford HQ. Having turned up at WWE headquarters, Laurer posted on social media to show herself outside the building.

After requesting to meet with Vince and/or Triple H, Chyna, as per her agent Anthony Anzaldo, was escorted away from the premises by five security guards.
