8 Times WWE Went Scottish

7. Noam Dar

An unusually tasteful addition to the list, Noam Dar was a welcome entrant in WWE's largely successful Cruiserweight Classic earlier this year.

In his unusually inclusive and broad-minded pre-tournament vignette, he was given time to discuss his mixed race as a blessing for both his in-ring style and character's inspiration, with nary a sporran nor tam o'shanter in sight. Fresh off a tremendous run on the UK scene (which he was also permitted to heartily champion on TV) including a belting stint in WCPW, he made it to the quarter-finals of the tournament AND bagged himself a WWE contact.

Future TV time will surely see him mention other folks on this list as childhood inspirations, but his presentation of what it means to be a Scottish wrestler in 2016 gave hope to a brave new world for future Scots that cross the pond.
