Paul Daley is one of the greatest fighting talents ever to emerge from the British Isles. A propensity for violence coupled with one of the most devastating striking arsenals in MMA history has made the Nottingham-based striker one of the most feared talents in the sport for years now, but his three-fight UFC run failed to see him fulfil his full potential.

Daley lived up to the hype in his first two Octagon appearances, claiming a pair of first-round knockouts against Martin Kampmann and Dustin Hazelett leading to a clash with welterweight contender Josh Koscheck at UFC 113 in a fight billed as a title eliminator.

Ultimately, Koscheck would utilise his superior wrestling to neutralise the Brit's power en route to a unanimous decision victory. However, after the final bell, an infuriated Daley took a cheap shot at his opponent while he walked away, a shameful display that led to Daley's immediate release from the UFC.
