WWE wrecked Karrion Kross' momentum by tearing Scarlett from his side, putting him on Raw and then having him job out to Jeff Hardy in less than two minutes in July. That stupid decision must've left NXT chiefs shaking their heads - they were relying on Kross vs. Samoa Joe to help sell interest in TakeOver 36.

The good news is that both men still pulled a worthwhile match out of their arses. Also, Kross can get on with business over on Mondays without pulling double duty now that he's dropped the NXT belt. Hopefully, that fares him well, WWE rectify the Scarlett mistake and Karrion gets a push.

Or something meaningful to do on Raw, at least.

Meanwhile, on NXT, Joe is a nice interim champ for the brand's impending new era. He can pass the torch to someone new when the time is right and usher in the future of WWE's third show. All things considered, it's hard to argue with the end result here.
