8 Ups & 1 Down For AEW Collision (Nov 4 - Results & Review)

Downs...

1. The 69 Day Celebration

AEW Collision The Acclaimed Max Caster
AEW

Sorry, despite always being here for a bit of daft pro wrestling content, the Acclaimed and Billy Gunn's 69 Day Celebration was extremely rough.

The whole 69 things feels like the sort of joke that gets old by the time you're 13 years of age. Max Caster being on the verge of tears at having a video message from MJF was too over the top. The trophy was ridiculously lame. 65-year-old Tony Schiavone screaming over all of this was cringey. And the whole segment massively dragged, very much overstaying its welcome and taking twice as long as was necessary. Not to mention, involving AEW World Champion MJF in such moments feels like a massive step down for the Salt of the Earth - even if there is previous there with Caster and Max.

As a big Dalton Castle fan, business picked up once the Party Peacock and his Boys made their way out, but even that couldn't save this segment. Instead, all that led to was more bad comedy and a six-man match where tags rarely mattered and Aubrey Edwards once again watched on while barely any rules were adhered to.

Clearly your writer may need to lighten up a little or pour another mug of coffee, but this was just bad.
