8 Ups & 1 Down For AEW Collision (Nov 4 - Results & Review)

6. An Underdog Win & A New Faction Forms

AEW Collision Darby Allin Lance Archer
AEW

As a match, Darby Allin vs. Lance Archer was exactly what was to be expected; an injured, broken-down Darby fighting from underneath against the vastly larger, stronger, more aggressive Murderhawk Monster.

The bout itself was absolutely fine, with Allin taking his usual insane risks and gnarly bums, all while running the risk of further harm to his knackered shoulder. Once Jake Roberts was kicked out of ringside, it didn't take long for Darby to score a flash 1-2-3 with a Destroyer from the top rope. But that was only half the story.

When the legendary Jake the Snake reappeared on the ramp, he revealed that he now had the Righteous - Vincent and Dutch - under his charge. That announcement in and of itself allowed Archer the chance to attack Darby, and it also brings plenty of intrigue with it.

As a pairing, Jake and Archer have been fine, even if they haven't exactly pulled up any trees since their working relationship was established. For Vincent and Dutch, they've been largely in limbo in recent weeks, and so placing them with Roberts and Archer should be viewed as a positive for the duo. This new faction has the potential to be a major step in the right direction for all involved - of course, dependant on how they're used from here on out.
